About Masjid Saad Foundation

Masjid Saad is recognized as a progressive and very active institution that keeps pace with modern trends. Masjid Saad has experienced tremendous growth and has established a school recently. Masjid Saad began as a small prayer area on UT's campus more than 20 years ago. Later the Masjid was moved to a small house on Bancroft, then a larger house on Cheltenham. Eventually the community grew larger and a larger house near Dorr Street was purchased. The University of Toledo decided to expand and bought the whole neighborhood. So we ended up buying an office building on Secor which is our current Masjid.
As the needs of the community grew larger a decision was taken to establish a full-time Islamic school. A search committee was formed, and the building next door was bought. Then in 1994 the dream was realized when classes began in September at, what is now called, Toledo Islamic Academy.

As our community grows older, so will our ability to fulfill the needs of the community. Masjid Saad offers many services to community members.

Five daily prayers with small talk by the Imam afterwards.

Friday Prayer every Friday at 1:10 PM

Al-Bayan Arabic, Islamic, & Quranic Classes on Saturday for children and adults.

Quran memorization classes twice a week for youthful boys and girls. (Separate of course)

Picnics every couple of weeks in the summer months.

Audio Visual department that records all kutbahs and speeches and sells them. As well as other speeches from world renowned scholars and imams.

Youth Program every Friday for youth to play sports.

Friday Night Lectures every week for community. Food and tea.
Special women programs on Friday nights.
Saturday Night Halaqah for men in community. Takes place in homes.

Wednesday Night Halaqah for women in community. Takes place in homes.

Summer school for young children with field trips and fun activities.

Intensive Girls Arabic 2 week-long Summer Camp.

And plenty of other special programs.
